About Us
Victoria San Juan Cruises came to life in 1986 as a franchise of Gray Line at the Resort Semiahmoo in Blaine, Washington. After 5 years of cruising to Friday Harbor the operation was moved to the new Alaska Ferry Terminal in Bellingham to add Victoria as our premier destination.
During the winters of 1992 and 1995 the Victoria Star had the privilege of serving as the VIP "race viewing" vessel for the Australian challengers for the America's Cup held off the coast of San Diego, California.
In 1995 we purchased and remodeled the Victoria Star 2 to begin offering our all-you-can-eat Northwest Salmon and tangerine Chicken dinner. At the same time we moved the original Victoria Star to Seward, Alaska to operate nature tours in Kenai Fjords National Park.
In 1998, in conjunction with Island Mariner Cruises here in Bellingham, we started "San Juan Island Commuter Service" to offer passenger ferry service to different destinations in the San Juan Islands.
We are family owned and operated with a staff of about 25 enthusiastic souls who thoroughly enjoy sharing the experience of Bellingham, the San Juan Islands and Victoria to over 25,000 people each year.
We hope you too will consider joining us on any of our relaxing and enjoyable cruises.
